Teaching My Wings. 5;26 minutes. Color. Sound.

This is a story of a domestic turkey’s wish to soar high and reach remote regions.

The video calls attention to the plight of domestic turkeys, which are raised on farms for profit, and are unable to fly.

This video was screened in China as a part of the 2005 Venturous Vanguard Video Festival; L.A Mission College in Los Angeles; University of Arizona Video Festival; Joshua Tree College in Yucca Valley, and the Nature Museum in Yucca Valley, California, where it received an award.

Poems To the Sea. 6;40 minutes. Color. Sound.

The movie portrays city residents reading poems to the sea in different languages.

I prepared it for the Show Me the Water exhibit in the International Gallery of Contemporary Art, Anchorage, Alaska. The video expresses feelings of longing to the ocean, which at the end of the movie is shown briefly, like a remote blue aching picture, among the decayed buildings of the city.

Pretty City, 3;35 minutes. Color. Sound.

This video documents my public art project titled Last Gesture, created in Wen Ling Road, Kunming, China.

One night I painted a whole ruined street block fluorescent pink. The project calls attention to the rapid growth and change of the modern Chinese city, as new sky scrapers keep rising up throughout China, and old Chinese houses are demolished every day.

Tilted Cypress, 3;58 minutes. Color. Sound.

The video presents an uprooted tall cypress that contemplates the life it used to have. Audio such as strong wind, dog barks, heartbeat and a gate closing up accompany this gloomy video.

The piece was on display for a month in Janco Dada Museum, Ein-Hod, Israel, and for a month in C2 Gallery, Shanghai, China.
